The Alpha Hall Survey collection was conducted in spring and summer of 2024 as part of the mitigation plan for the demolition of Alpha Halls East and South. The Alpha Hall complex, which opened in 1965, was the first dormitory on the University of South Alabama campus. Narrators who attended USA at different times share their memories of the dorms and how they inhabited its space, while also speaking more broadly about their experiences at South and memories of campus life.
