Abstract

In this recording, Alisha Palmer interviews Lori Burkhead Morgan for the McCall Archive at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Morgan emphasizes her excitement regarding her arrival at South Alabama and checking into the Alpha Hall dormitory. She describes a strong sense of community within the Alpha Halls, and shares anecdotes from her time as a Resident Advisor. She tells the story of how she decided to major in Speech Pathology. She is thankful to South for allowing her to grow as a person and giving her an excellent foundation to go on and earn a PhD. Dr. Morgan discusses her role as a student ambassador and takes pride in being a South Alabama alumnus. She also details her time in pageantry and explains how she won Miss South Alabama.
