Abstract
In this interview, siblings Sandra Matchett Nobles and Johnson Matchett Jr. are interviewed by Kern Jackson, Sheila Flanagan, and Ryan Morini at the Texas Street Rec about their memories of growing up Down the Bay. The conversation covers some of their family history and genealogy, and memories of the street that they grew up on and the surrounding neighborhood. The siblings also discuss their educational experiences and some of the teachers they remember, and some of the businesses and landmarks of the community, and stories of the people who owned and ran them. They also talk about their experiences living and working outside of Mobile, and some of their personal accomplishments.
