Abstract

In this interview, Faye Johnson Malone is interviewed by Alisha Palmer and Sheila Flanagan about her memories of growing up in the Down the Bay community. Ms. Malone discusses social and cultural dynamics Down the Bay, recalls some major community landmarks and institutions, and reflects on how all of these shaped her upbringing. She also discusses her educational history, and talks about her experiences living outside of Mobile.
