Abstract

“Prison should not only be about punishment. I’m not going to condone crime, but prison should be about rehabilitation so you can do better when you do get out of here. To do better, to make better choices in life, to get off drugs, to try to get an education, to learn work skills, and to take a trade. So, you won't have reasons to go out there and say I've never had a job, so I have to rob and sell drugs. These prisons just take hope from these people.” -Willie Watkins, Bullock Correctional Facility
