  • From Code to Creativity: Empowering Students with Language-Based AI for Innovative Content Creation by Stephanie D. Gapud, Priyojit Palit, and Zachary Mitchell

From Code to Creativity: Empowering Students with Language-Based AI for Innovative Content Creation

Stephanie D. Gapud, Priyojit Palit, and Zachary Mitchell

Project-based learning pedagogy ensures that the students put their analytical minds toward creating new knowledge in class. With the advent of ChatGPT, content creation suddenly is not exclusive to those sentient beings with brains anymore. AI is here to stay. Educators must prepare future knowledge workers to be comfortable using language-based AI to generate and publish content, much like how engineers, chemists, physicists, mathematicians, and statisticians are now solving problems with calculators and various analytical apps on computers instead of doing them manually. Students in the International Business class at Spring Hill College responded to the challenge call of Huawei in France, published in Telanto.com. We will elaborate on how the project allowed the students to apply their knowledge to create a meaningful work outcome using a publicly available GitHub code combined with creative content generated by ChatGPT from the information/data supplied by the students.

Postgraduate Residency Program: Pedagogical Strategies in Bridging the Transition from Novice Nurse Practitioner to Confident Primary Care Provider

    Kelly Stauter and Katherine Bydalek

Advancing the education of new nurse practitioners helps close the gap with the knowledge and core competencies necessary to practice independently and master delivery of quality care across the life span to vulnerable populations. Innovative teaching strategies incorporate the needs of the novice nurse practitioner and are designed to support the inclusive learning environment through educational technology, learner-centered activities, interprofessional partnerships, and local community-based agencies that facilitate active learning. Expanding the didactic and clinical training experience by integrating specialty rotations and simulation immersive events, enhances learning outside of the classroom and equips the postgraduate nurse practitioner with the skills and competence that builds on preparedness to successfully transition from novice nurse practitioner to confident primary care provider. Integration of novel teaching methodologies into curriculum and clinical training influences learning dynamics and empowers new nurse practitioners to leverage their strengths in practicing independently and providing expert care to unique populations.
