Abstract
In this interview, Denise McAdory is interviewed by Ryan Morini at her home regarding her memories and reflections on the Down the Bay community. Dr. McAdory begins by discussing the rhythms of life when she was growing up Down the Bay, and the rhythms of the community. Those rhythms include communal activities, businesses and their patronage, and inculcation of life lessons. Dr. McAdory also emphasizes the senses of gravitas and of ceremony that permeated life Down the Bay when she was growing up, and expresses concern that such things have been lost in the years intervening.
