Abstract

In this interview, Mary Angela Reed Millender is interviewed by Kern Jackson and Rachel Hines at Prince of Peace Church about her memories of growing up in the Down the Bay community. She describes the boundaries of Down the Bay, and some of her family history. Ms. Millender also describes some of the businesses that used to exist in the neighborhood, and the cultural dynamics of the community.
