Abstract
In this interview, Marquita Trenier Wiley is interviewed by Alisha Palmer on Zoom about her memories of growing up in the Down the Bay community. Ms. Wiley discusses some of her family history, and describes the house and the neighborhood she grew up in and the foods that were prevalent in each. She shares some of her educational experiences, including integrating Bishop Toolen High School, and reflects on her experiences as a Black Catholic who grew up in a segregated Mobile.
