Abstract

The purpose of knowledge for the devils in Paradise Lost is driven by self-serving and misled means. By focusing on these instances, a better understanding of John Milton's educational ideas can be achieved as well as better understanding his time period. Multiple scenarios of knowledge s use are explored to gain a better overall understanding of this theme while allowing for a more in debt analysis later. ln these circumstances, the devils showcase faulty intellectual pursuit and teaching from Milton's standpoint.
