Abstract
Irving Silver grew up in Massachusetts and after a period of service in the military which brought him to the Gulf Coast, relocated to Mobile, home to his wife Frances Grodsky. Silver then changed direction and began a career in law, eventually building a successful practice in Mobile, and becoming actively involved in civic causes. Silver discusses his connection to Congregation Ahavas Chesed and longstanding leadership in areas of philanthropy and community action for the betterment of Mobile.
