Abstract
In this interview, Phillip Moody is interviewed by Autumn Falkner and Eric Ware at the Marx Library at the University of South Alabama. Mr. Moody discusses his memories of growing up in the Down the Bay neighborhood, and discusses some of his family history in and outside of the area. He talks about the origins of his lifelong love of playing the drums, and his experiences as a musician. He also describes some of the things children did for recreation Down the Bay, including roller skating, flying kites, and playing baseball. Mr. Moody concludes the interview talking about the impacts of various hurricanes, the Civil Rights Movement, and the changes that he has seen in Mobile in his lifetime.
